Fresenius is an international health care company. Most of our employees work in North America where Fresenius Medical Care operates its own dialysis clinics. The fastest growing market is the Asia-Pacific region.
Fresenius Medical Care also has the largest number of employees worldwide, followed by Fresenius Helios and Fresenius Kabi.
Only a few companies have grown as dynamically as Fresenius in recent years. The first strong increase in the number of employees in 1996 is based on the merger of Fresenius and the American company National Medical Care, creating Fresenius Medical Care, the world’s largest provider of dialysis products and services. The second strong increase in 2005 reflects the acquisition of German HELIOS Kliniken Group and the further growth in 2006 the take-over of American Renal Care Group.
